I think I'm becoming a little obsessed with fruit themed nails..
I have a soft spot for novelty nail art so when I saw banana nails on WAH well I just had to try them myself! here's how I painted mine..
I've used one of my favourite barry m gelly polishes called rose hip as my base colour (a perfect pale pink!) leave to dry and then use a yellow nail art pen to draw a banana shape. it looks fairly blah at this stage but the black outline transforms this design... bear with it.
I found outlining the sides in one long stroke is the easiest way to keep the shape neat, just close the ends to finish the outline.
for clean lines I recommend a striping brush ..and elbows on a table to keep your hands steady!
What a fab idea, these look amazing! :)
