DIY breakfast in a box gift idea

hands up if you love brekkie? when I was younger I used to skip breakfast but now I think it's the best thing ever. who doesn't love a lie in followed by breakfast in bed on a sunday..? pure heaven.

I've always been a fan of making up packages for people, whenever my loved ones are unwell I'll pop to the shop and buy lots of healthy snacks and over the counter cold remedies to make them a get well soon box. 

...this is just another take on it but for food lovers!

materials:

bamboo basket

tea towel

your favourite breakfast ingredients!

buy up all treats you think you're loved one or friend will like, I chose condiments like jam and honey to have on toast as well as coffee beans, tea, granola and dutch waffles. lay a tea towel into the basket and then fill it up with goodies- done!

you could even get some glass jars and fill them with all the ingredients ready weighed to make a batch of pancakes with syrup- it's entirely up to you! 

the fun part is buying all the ingredients, it's basically a mini picnic! 

I don't want to scare you with mentions of christmas (I know, I know) but these would be great little gift boxes for foodies. my parents are notoriously hard to buy for so I'm definitely going to make one of these up for my pops.

after all this brekkie talk I'm starving so I'm going to give this box to james (and try and convince him to make me breakfast in bed.) I love it when a plan comes together.
