brrrrrr, this morning I was forced to turn my heating on full blast for the first time, sob.
it seems autumn is definitely upon us; time to break out the knitwear and kiss goodbye to any hopes of sunbathing on the weekends! I've not given up on wearing my tea dresses just yet but I think I'll be sporting a few layers with them..
so what to wear on our nails this fall? (I'm not american, I just couldn't resist!)
I've rummaged through my polishes to pick out my favourite autumnal shades in the hope it would kick start my enthusiasm for the upcoming big freeze!
from left:
fiji by essie, this is a gorgeous light pink nude polish. chic and feminine and perfect for days in the office.
nude beige by models own, this one of my all time favourite nude shades and covers really well in two coats.
purple grey by models own, this is a unusual and pretty winter berry shade.
grace green by models own, this is one of the best khaki shades I've come across. only needs one coat for great coverage. a perfect accompaniment for the military trend this year!
grey by barry m, this is a simple grey polish that I reach for on days I'm feeling a little grunge inspired!
yes there's more (I have a slight nail polish addiction)
from left:
mushroom by barry m, this is a really pretty tan/brown for the autumn.
slate grey by models own, (warning gushing review) I love this colour! if you have to invest in one staple colour make it this one, very similar to their concrete mixer this is going to be one of the trendiest colours this year (similar shades have been sported all over the runways this fashion week!)
purple ash by models own, this is a great berry tone polish and perfect for winter nails.
city grey by marks and spencer, this is the only m&s polish I own! the colour is really nice and not too dark, it does however need a few coats for good coverage!
becca's brown by models own, this is a rich shiny conker brown and last ages before chipping!
I hope this has given you some nail inspiration! I'd definitely recommend the models own slate grey as my top autumn choice..
