valentines is fast approaching, love it or hate it either way it's hard to avoid.
I'm not biggest romantic in the world; I'd opt for a take out & horror film over to a posh candlelit dinner any day but I do kinda love valentines.
this year I wanted to do a little DIY that was cheap, fun and could be given to just about anyone! so I came up with this simple heart mug that cost less than £5 to make ...pow!
porcelain pens are so easy to use; I picked mine up from a local craft shop but you can get them online here (I picked up the mug for 60p in my local wilkinson's!)
the beauty of these pens is you can wipe them off quickly if you make a mistake, it's just like drawing with felt pens.
I simply drew on the hearts and left them to dry for 72 hours; after this they're safe to use in the dishwasher! (I'd probably still hand wash them myself just to be on the safe side) I think you can bake them in the oven to set them too.
what do you think? will you be hand making any of your valentines this year?
back soon!
