vintage typewriter:
happy friday guys! it's that time of the week again.. here's a few items that have put a big smile on my face this week.
I found my typewriter in a local second hand vintage shop and since it has some slight damage it was only ten english pounds!! I can't tell how how excited I was (most I've discovered in the last year have been quite expensive) persistence finally paid off and my desk now has a new friend yippee!
(it need a good clean and a new ribbon but I'm hoping I can get it working again... fingers crossed)
card alphabet letters:
I found these big printed letters in hobbycraft (available in all of the letters alphabet in case you wondered!) I though they'd be quite nifty glued onto the cover of notebooks to personalise them ...or even to used instead of gift tags on christmas presents?
nail rock nail rockits*
I've never tried the velvet nail trend as I wasn't sure I wanted furry feeling fingers, oh boy I missed out! I found this kit so much fun to use, it's not as messy as I expected and the excess brushes off to reveal velvet soft nails!
just shake the velvet onto wet nails (polish is included along with a nail art pen in the top) it starts to wear after a day or so but you can easily top it up, if you shake the excess velvet back into the bottle I think you'd easily get 4 sets of velvet nails from this kit (I've done 2 already)
you also get three different types of silver studs to decorate your nails if you want to get extra creative..
nail rock nail glitter*
well christmas wouldn't be christmas without a little sparkle! apply the polish and dip your nails into the disco party that is a pot of pure glitter... voila, instant chunky glitter ball nails! they have some great new products to play with in the nail rock range from 3D frou frou to sequins, decorative bows through to caviar.
for anyone who isn't a fan of the joni jean meet the jamie. I find my joni's feel more like a legging then a denim. I've found the jamie denim thicker and less stretchy (they seem to pull you in more) which flatters my figure much better than the other high waisted jeans I own.
nothing makes me grumpier than shopping for jeans so I'm relieved to have this new addition! hopping about on one leg wrestling a pair of skinnies never usually ends well so jamie jeans I salute you.
well I'm off to fill myself up with caffeine.. it's nearly the weekend hurrah!

It's nice to be reminded that I'm not the only girl who finds jeans shopping a nightmare! I faced the same predicament with the Joni vs the Jamie but ended up buying a complete other pair (would've gone for the Jamie if they weren't ankle length; mine just can't bear Newcastle temperatures!).
ReplyDeleteP.s. the typewriter is a real beauty!
Velvet nails sound so intriguing! Fab photos~

I love the Jamie jeans but they have a horrible tendency to rip on the thigh.

I'm checking out the Jamie jeans, I hope they don't rip! Great find in the vintage shop, my mom had one like that years ago.
