oh boy do I love a good scrub before bed.
considering I used to be the girl who thought a brief encounter with a face wipe before tucking in for the night would suffice I've certainly come a long way with my skincare regime in the last couple of years.
my evening cleanse is somewhat of a ritual these days, helped by a shiny new addition to my line up.. the magnitone lucid. this magic little facial brush gently cleanses and exfoliates to remove all the grime my skin accumulates over the day. I have admit I've been curious about the rival clarisonic ever since they first came out (the lovely rose from mixed gems is a big fan) but I've never been quite so keen on one thing.. the price tag.
the magnitone is a much cheaper alternative and works in exactly the same way, giving your skin an effective but gentle clean and polish every day, I opt to use this just at night as I don't want to over exfoliate but you can easily use it twice a day as it has a sensitive setting too (it's also waterproof so if you can use it in the shower)
I've been using it with my dream team of face cleansers the ren mayblossom t-zone control and alpha h balancing cleanser -I've alternated between applying the cleanser to my face and direct to the brush but I think I prefer it when I slather my face with cleanser before I get to work with the brush.
I finish off with serum and a dollop of moisturiser before I hit the sack.. perfect!
the magnitone is on offer in a range of snazzy shades to tempt you here.. have any of you tried one? what did you think?

I know! I've always been curious and I'm so please with this one- it's really fun to use haha! x
DeleteI have a No. 7 cleansing brush, similar to this and I love it. I only use it at night too as I don't want to over-exfoliate - it makes my face feel so nice after though!

agreed! it does feel soft enough to use twice a day but I don't want to overdo it :) xx
DeleteOooh this sounds like such a nice little routine, Alpha-H products are a god-send!

yes! I really love the cleanser- I was sent one to try and used it so much I had to repurchase! xx
DeleteI still need to get in on the facial brush action. I've always thought the clarisonic was a bit too pricey. This is a more affordable alternative!

definitely- I haven't tried the clarisonic but I struggle to see how it could be so different? this is half the price :) xx
DeleteHa, this is funny - I use a Mia twice a day, and I use the Ren mayblossom t-zone control cleanser, too! Great minds ;)

aha! let me know if you do :) xx
DeleteI'm always really skeptical about these kind of cleansing brushes- with oily skin, I always wonder if it will over-exfoliate. Might have to give it a go if the price tag is a bit more reasonable than Clarisonic. I don't use many interesting or exciting products but I am mega obsessive about cleansing at both ends of the day!
ReplyDeleteI have oily skin too (grrr) but I only use this once a day as I don't want to over exfoliate too! so far so good and no breakouts/irritation in the last month. I think because it feels so gentle people can get a bit carried away and over use them which might lead to problems if you have sensitive skin :) x
