happy weekend amigos! today's post is a quick little nail art that I've been meaning to try out for a while.. I have soft spot for marble home decor so why not go all out matchy matchy with faux marble nails too.
as these are pretty minimal so are the ingredients- you'll need a white polish, black nail art pen and a good topcoat. (you could also use a fine brush with some black polish.)
paint your nails white and leave to dry. grab your nail art pen (one with a long fine brush) and start to draw on long crooked lines that branch out and vary in thickness. you're trying to recreate the fractured lines that run through the stone so you don't need this to be perfect (hurrah!)
take your topcoat and seal the design, the topcoat will smooth out the lines and create a more polished finish. leave to dry and your stone effect nails are good to go. I think this nail art will be way more popular with lovers of minimal nails, the longer I wore them the more I liked them!
in other news I've finally returned from ireland, I'll be catching up on my comments this week (oh wifi I've missed you.) thank you for such lovely feedback on my posts while I was away- you guys are the bestest!
back soon
