I'm a sucker for homewares and this month I've been to all my favourite shops. yup you guessed it ikea and tiger stores!
I've been buying up little items to tie in with our existing decor. I adore colour but I'm trying to work in way more neutrals especially in our bedroom which is white with hints of grey. I bought some new plain pillowcases and cushion covers from ikea and primark. I also picked up some black and white patterned fabric from ikea as I have a small vintage chair seat to reupholster.
in tiger I hit the chopping board jackpot, I love acacia wood but boards can be really expensive! not this little platter though which was under £10- hurrah! I also grabbed a copper wire basket and a wooden style geometric tray as they're perfect little items for styling up tables or shelves.
if you're a little obsessed with nice serving platters/chopping boards then ikea has a new sittning range out that wont be in stores for long -they were out of stock in my local store the day I visited (cries) but you can see the collection here.
copper iron basket | tiger
plain cushion covers | ikea
b&w fabric | ikea
pillowcases | primark home
acacia cutting board and tray | tiger
I'm always buying little pieces and yet I wonder why my home isn't the the minimal shine of my dreams.. dammit, I blame ikea. purveyor of meatballs and all round swedish temptress.
back soon

I love the 'Gurli's! We have the blanket version at home, its our favourite thing to cuddle up in. I didn't know they did cushion versions! Next time I go to Ikea, I will definitely be checking those out. I love everything you bought here. You have a really great eye <3
