i've been making some little changes around the house whilst we're on lockdown, there are so many things i want to do but having an energetic toddler means time for home improvements is v. limited! however there is one update that i wanted to share on here, a cute modification to the shelves in gabe's room.
i love the IKEA flisat shelves, they're great bookshelves for children's rooms or nurseries. i wanted to give ours a makeover that was more in keeping with the natural/boho decor that we love in his room.
this is such a quick project i managed to make ours in the garden whilst gabe took his afternoon nap a few weeks back. i love how they turned out and it was a great way to use up some of the leftover cane that i had from other furniture projects.
i'm so happy with how they've turned out, i think these shelves would look just as stylish on the wall in a living room with a few magazines (they're not just for nurseries in my opinion!)
